Admission for B.E. Courses 2008-09 of DCE/NSIT
Applications are invited from the candidates who have appeared in CEE-2008 conducted by University of Delhi for Delhi Region and are placed in merit for admission of B.E. Courses under Faculty of Technology (University of Delhi) in Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT).

Admission will be made from amongst those who will apply on the prescribed form strictly on the basis of Rank of CEE-2008.

Applications are also invited from the candidates who have appeared in AIEEE-2008 and have been declared eligible for Central Counseling by CBSE for admission to B.E. Courses in the above two institutes for 15% seats out side Delhi Region. Admission will be made on the basis of Rank of AIEEE-2008.
No candidate will be admitted unless he/she applies for admission on the prescribed form latest by the date given below.

All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) Admission 2008

Applications are invited for the following one year Diploma courses recognized by Rehabilitation Council of India

1. Diploma in Hearing Language & Speech (DHLS)
Eligibility for Admission:
Candidates who have passed plus two level in any stream of subjects.
Who are above 17 years of age
Having working knowledge in English / proficiency in regional language.
Preference will be given to candidates from rural areas / sponsored candidates

2. Diploma in Hearing AID & EAR Mould Technology (DHA & ET)
Eligibility for Admission:
Students who have passed Plus 2 level with Physics background
Diploma in Electronics/Electrical or ITI in Electronics/Electrical/Dental Technician course with a minimum of 45% of the aggregate (40% in case of SC/ST)

3. Diploma in Training Young Hearing Impaired Children (DTYHIC)
Eligibility for Admission :
Candidates who have passed plus two level or any equivalent
Preference will be give to (a) graduates, (b) 12th pass with training in Montessori / kindergarten / early childhood education (a) parents, siblings and family members of children with hearing impairment who satisfy the prescribed qualification.
Note:
Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination and awaiting results may also apply.
There will be 20 seats for each of the Diploma courses (20 Seats per Study Center* for DHLS course).
Cost of Application Form & Prospectus is Rs.150/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST).
Rs.250/- will be paid as stipend for 10 months to all the students admitted.

Essential Qualifications for Admission

QUALIFICATION
Direction & Screenplay Cinematography Editing --Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent
Audiography (Sound Recording)-- Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent with Physics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level


Selection procedure has four stages:
1. Application [in prescribed format ]
2. Written Examination
3. Interactive Orientation Session & Viva Voce [for those qualifying in the written examina
4. Medical Examination
The final selection will be based on the candidates’ overall performance in the Interactive Orientation Session and the Viva Voce AND medical recommendation.

1 .Application
Last date for Receipt of Application Friday, 11th July 2008
Candidates who fulfil the required qualifications should submit their applications for admission only in the prescribed form . Each application for admission should be accompanied by:
1.A crossed Demand Draft for Rs1200/- (Rs.700/- in case of SC/ST candidates against submission of valid certificate) drawn in favour of Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute, Kolkata, payable at Kolkata.

2. ONE photograph(3cm X 2.5cm)— pasted properly on the space specified on the application form; FIVE more stamp-size photographs stapled with Application Form with applicant’s name written on the backside. Candidates sending downloaded copy should paste one photo on the copy-form and along with staple other photographs with applicant’s name written on the backside.

3.Attested copy of the educational qualification certificate (graduation).

4.Notarised copy of the SC/ST/OBC Certificate (as applicable).

5.Attested copy of the Annual income of father/guardian.

IMPORTANT

Ø Remittance for Prospectus & Application Form or Examination Fee in any form other than those specified will NOT be accepted. Application shall be invalid without the remittance.

ØIncomplete applications and those received after the last date for submission will not be considered.

Ø Applications from ineligible candidates will not be considered.

Ø Demand Draft remitted by applicants will not be refunded under any circumstances.

ØIn case any selected candidate is employed, he/she will have to produce at the time of admission a ‘No Objection’ certificate from the employer.

Paper I:GENERAL KNOWLEDGE & MENTAL APTITUDE (Duration: 1 hour)

This objective type paper is the same for all candidates.General Knowledge will have questions on Art & Culture, Society & People with special focus on India.

Paper II :SPECIFIC AREA APTITUDE (Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes)

Therewill be separate question papers as per area of specialisation opted for i.e. Direction & Screenplay writing / Cinematography / Editing / Audiography( Sound Recording).

IMPORTANT

ØThe Institute shall neither make any allowance nor shall be responsible for postal delay in delivery of the Admit Card for Written Examination. If the applicant does not receive Admit Card seven days before the date of Written Examination, he/she should contact the Institute

ØNo candidates will be allowed to appear for the Written Examination unless he/she produces the valid Admit Card to the Supervising Officer of the Examination Centre on the day of Examination.

3. Interactive orientation session & viva voce will be conducted in the Institute campus only for those qualifying in the written examination. The concerned candidates will be informed individually regarding dates. They will be required to stay in the Institute campus for 5-6 days for this Interactive Orientation Session and Viva Voce, and the Institute will provide accommodation only.

IMPORTANT

ØOnly those candidates who qualify in the Written Examination will be informed and asked to appear in the Interactive Orientation Session & Viva-Voce.

ØInstitute does not provide for allowance of any type for attending the Selection /Admission procedure at any stage.

ØThe Institute will not enter into any correspondence in connection with incomplete, irregular or late applications (that is, those received after the closing date) / rejection of any application / queries regarding the results of Written Examination or final selection etc .

ØCanvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate for admission to the Institute.
4. medical examination as per the extant norms will be conducted at the Institute for those candidates who are finally selected for admission, before final offer of admission is made.

Special provisions
RESERVATION :seats are reserved for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per extant rules provided that they possess the minimum qualifications prescribed for admission and qualify in the written test and interview/viva voce. They are also required to submit copies of their respective reservation credentials duly notarised.

FOREIGN CANDIDATES
2(two) seats in each discipline are earmarked for FOREIGN STUDENTS. These students are to apply through Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR); accordingly should get in touch with the Indian Embassies respectively. Candidates are to submit credentials regarding his/her knowledge of English Language.

CANDIDATES WITH DISABILITY
Subject to qualifying the selection procedure with due concessions AND on recommendation of the medical board— candidates may be admitted to the suitability of the course he/she opted for.
